Pepper Steak

Nothing tastes as good as a great tasting pepper steak. You will need one package of brown gravy, ¾ cup of water, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oil, 1 medium onion, cooked and diced, 2 green or yellow peppers, sliced into strips and about 2 pounds of flank steak cut thinly across the grain.

First you want to take the package of brown gravy, ¾ cup of water and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and combine them in a bowl. Set the bowl aside. Heat up a non stick skillet and set over medium heat. Next, sauté the onions and the peppers for about 4 to 5 minutes stirring until soft. Once they are soft remove them from the pan and out aside. Then cut the meat into the strips making them as long or as short as you want to, add the meat to the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes and turn the meat until it is brown. Then take the gravy mixture you prepared earlier and add it to the mixture. Add the peppers and onions to the meat mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer.

Once the meat is nice and brown, remove the meat from the pan. You can serve the meat over rice or separately with a side of noodles. This serves about 4 to 6 people. There is nothing like a good steak dinner complete with vegetables and rice. For something different you can use chicken or another cut of steak if you wish.
